How I Set Up Automated Blog Publishing in 20 Minutes (No Code Required)
As someone building multiple businesses, I’m always looking for ways to work smarter. Today I set up something that’s going to save me hours every week: automated blog publishing.
The Problem
I have ideas constantly. Journal entries, voice memos, random thoughts at 2am. But turning those into polished blog posts? That was taking forever. Between formatting, uploading, and publishing, each post ate up 30-45 minutes of my time.
The Solution
I connected my Lovable website to Claude (my AI assistant) through a simple API. Now I can:
- Share a rough idea or journal entry
- Have Claude draft a full blog post
- Review and approve with a single word
- Post goes live automatically
How It Works
Step 1: Set Up the API in Lovable
Lovable made this surprisingly easy. I told it I wanted an API for blog management, and it created the endpoint automatically. The setup asked two questions:
- Authentication method (I chose API key for simplicity)
- Where to store content (database, so Claude can manage everything)
Step 2: Connect to Claude
I gave Claude the API key and endpoint. Now it can create, update, and manage posts on my behalf.
Step 3: Create an Approval Workflow
This was important to me. I didn’t want posts going live without my review. So we set up a simple rule: Claude drafts, I approve, then it publishes.
The Results
What used to take 45 minutes now takes 5. I share my rough thoughts, Claude polishes them into a real post, I give the thumbs up, and it’s live.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning. I’m working on connecting this to:
- My podcast (auto-generate show notes)
- YouTube (create video scripts from blog posts)
- Social media (pull quotes and threads from each post)
The goal? One piece of content becomes five, with minimal extra effort.
